Mozo Inn & Cafe
A family-run hostel, private rooms and café, right in the middle of Jibhi and Tirthan Valley — close enough to reach easily, far enough to still feel like a village.
Jibhi market has become a well-known name in this valley, and rightly so. But our side of the road is quieter: fewer shopfronts, more forest, and neighbours who still farm the way their grandparents did. We've been running Mozo Inn & Cafe as a family since 2023, right in the middle of Jibhi and Tirthan Valley.
All our food is prepared fresh, using organic fruits, vegetables and spices grown right in our own Mozo Garden.
Whoever makes the short trip out to Kothi Chehni and back tells us the same thing: it was worth it. We just want more of the right people to know that before they book.
We started as a stop for solo backpackers, and we still love hosting them. But today, Mozo Inn is just as much a home for corporate teams on a work-from-home break, student groups travelling together, and anyone — alone or in a group of strangers — looking for a genuinely peaceful atmosphere. It's a place people come to slow down, whether that's for a workshop, a retreat, or just a few quiet days.
Wooden-finished mixed dormitories (12 beds) and female-only dormitories (8 beds), each with an attached toilet and bathroom. Breakfast is included; towels aren't provided.
Two deluxe rooms, each with a private balcony. Pricing varies by season — averages around ₹1,999 a night, all taxes and breakfast included. Message us for real-time rates.
A cosy indoor lounge for slow mornings, rainy days, and long conversations.
Walls that double as a canvas — a good spot to sit with a sketchbook or journal.
Our treehouse-style deck, seated above the valley with mountain views on every side.
For evenings under the stars, gathered around a bonfire with the whole valley gone quiet.
Every dish is cooked fresh with organic fruits, vegetables and spices grown in our own Mozo Garden. Don't leave without trying: fluffy Siddu, stuffed with walnuts, peanuts and green onion, served with desi ghee and chutney; our Rajmah Chawal, made with farmhouse organic rajmah and desi cow ghee over basmati rice; and a glass of our local wine — rice, wheat or jaggery.
Heading up to Kothi Chehni or Shringa Rishi Temple? All four of our cafés are open to trekkers and day visitors too — not only overnight guests.
Wifi is free for every guest, and power backup runs 24/7 — a comfortable base whether that's a quiet afternoon of emails or a full work-from-home stretch.
A centuries-old fortified tower built in the local Kath Kuni style — layered stone and timber, no cement or nails. Believed to be the highest surviving Kathkuni structure in the western Himalayas, it has stood through some of the region's worst earthquakes — and we're one of the closest stays to it.
A revered local temple that's central to village life here, and one of the trailheads travellers use to walk up toward Kothi Chehni.
A heritage village in the heart of Jibhi and Tirthan Valley, built almost entirely in the old traditional Kathkuni style — timber and stone homes set among lush green fields. It's just a 5–10 minute walk from Mozo Inn, and we take guests there as part of a guided village and garden tour.
Spend a day inside real village life — farming, cooking over a wood fire, walking the trails with a family that's lived here for generations. It's the closest way to actually live the valley, not just see it.
